Alexandra (Ali) Brown, LCPC

Alexandra “Ali” Brown is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who works primarily with adolescents and adults. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University and has experience practicing in community mental health and inpatient settings. Ali provides therapy for a broad range of emotional, behavioral, relational, and life-adjustment concerns, with a strong emphasis on thoughtful, steady, and collaborative care.

Ali works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, personality-related concerns, relationship difficulties, self-esteem concerns, anger and frustration tolerance issues, domestic violence, OCD, and life changes or transitions. She is especially effective with adults who may be difficult to engage, slow to trust, emotionally guarded, or dealing with longstanding patterns that require a calm, respectful, and patient therapeutic approach.

Professional Background

Ali earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University. She has practiced in community mental health and inpatient settings and has experience working with clients across the lifespan, notably adults. Her background has given her experience with a wide range of presenting concerns and has helped shape a therapy style that is steady, considerate, and adaptable to the needs of the individual client.

Approach to Therapy

Ali’s approach to therapy is grounded in openness, collaboration, and practical support. She works to provide a space where clients can safely express thoughts and feelings, better understand their patterns, and move toward meaningful change. Her style is calm, thoughtful, and respectful, which helps many clients feel comfortable enough to work on difficult issues without feeling pushed or judged.

Treatment Methods

Ali uses Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a primary treatment modality and is also informed by positive psychology, compassion-focused approaches, and trauma-informed care. Depending on the client’s needs, she may also draw from Mindfulness-Based CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Interpersonal Therapy.

Service Areas

Ali works with a broad range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, OCD, personality-related concerns, trauma, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, life changes and transitions, anger and frustration tolerance, stress, self-esteem, and domestic violence. She works especially well with adults who benefit from a mild, steady, and collaborative therapeutic style that allows room for trust, reflection, and gradual but meaningful progress.
